Easy way to make transcripts

Josh Halpern

Transcripts and closed captions on video are increasingly demanded for accessibility. An easy way to generate them is to open a new google docs page, select voice typing under tools with your speaker and microphone enables and let the video play.

  1. Click Tools and then Voice typing. A microphone box appears.
  2. When you're ready to transcribe, click the microphone and start the video.
  3. When you're done, click the microphone again.
The transcript can be stored as a file on the page where the video is.

Great to know.  I didn't realize voice typing could be used that way.
