Currently Yes.

Version 1.0 of the Remixer is a one time process although the Remixing map used to make the remix should be saved in your computer's cookies for later editing (unless you have made another remix since and erased it). Remixer 2.0 (when released) will have the ability to use the Remixer tech to restructure existing remixes and hence overwrite existing texts.

For now, you have to created a new Remixer and delete the past one. Version 2.0 will likely be released before the  summer.

You are probably talking with in an exercise, so add an exercise template box and it is included in it. Let me know if that doesn't work for you.

You have to uncouple the page title from the page URL (and give a two digit number for page title numbers less than 10). I will make up somethign today to show this.

Thanks for the recommendations Paul.

Re: Style Guide #Formatting

Seeburger, Paul (Mathematics)

Jennifer,

I can't address all your questions, but I would recommend using Latex for variables instead of italics.

And if you don't know about this page, it may be useful:

https://chem.libretexts.org/Courses/Remixer_University/Construction_Guide/3%3A_Advanced_Editing/3.3%3A_Adding_and_Editing_Equations

I also would recommend using Figure numbers (using \PageIndex{1} ) and captions wherever possible.

Paul

Style Guide #Formatting

Jennifer

I was doing some cleaning up in equation formatting etc. and wondered if there was a style guide somewhere. I had the following specific questions but if there isn't already a style guide I would be happy to start one and compile some of items in the forum as well.
  • What is the capitalization style for headings (H1, H2, and H3)?
  • When should italics be used versus invoking LaTeX for variables?
  • When should a superscript be used for a unit on the bottom of a fraction and when should a / be used?
  • When should items be capitalized in tables?
  • When should figures have a Figure label with a number?

Perhaps it would be useful to have a standard set of controls available including sliders, radio buttons, checkboxes.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the slider was one thing. Good to know its doable!
But also the source has many other stuff that we might question if it could be imported or not. For Example, there are some graphs that form when you click on a run button also there are short videos or (GIFs).
If importing them is feasible that would be great!
Thanks

I was able to get the sliders working relatively easily, though the CSS is clashing a bit with that already on the platform. Do you just want this slider imported, or are you thinking of grabbing larger chunks of the source material as well? If you are thinking of the latter option, we can assign a constructor to begin importing the entire source material since the license looks acceptable.
Let me know so we can continue working on this on Monday!
