I confirm that the glossary isn't showing up and submitted an internal ticket to review.

Is it possible to add subpages so that they don't appear in the chapter's table of contents?

Yes, it should be okay to include them in ADAP homework.
Thanks, Delmar. Mandeep.

Yep. If you also want, we can fold the questions/answers into the ADAPT homework system so faculty can grab off the shelf Q&A if they adopt your text.

I want to include that teachers are free to use the solutions however they want to. I do not want to make the solutions public.

Re: Ancillaries and PowerPoint in the pdf book Glossary is missing
Grewal, Mandeep
Thanks, Delmar. The solutions are already on Libretexts. You made those private. I created the pdf from the LibreTexts platform. As long as they are hidden from the students, we have no problem including them in the ancillaries.
Mandeep.

I hid the Ancillary materials from the PDF (as private). I may suggest moving your solutions for faculty into the ancillary materials too.
I rename your old glossary to separate from the new one. I am recompiling to see if the glossary is missing. If it is, then we need to fix ASAP.

Ancillaries and PowerPoint in the pdf book Glossary is missing
Grewal, Mandeep
Hello Everyone,
When I downloaded the book in a pdf form, it included ancillaries and Powerpoint pages. Becasue there is nothing in those pages. Can those pages be eliminated from the print version? Also, the Glossary page is there, but the glossary is missing from the pdf. Also, there is no pdf icon to save the glossary as a pdf. https://bio.libretexts.org/Bookshelves/Human_Biology/Book%3A_Human_Biology_(Wakim_and_Grewal) https://bio.libretexts.org/Bookshelves/Human_Biology/Book%3A_Human_Biology_(Wakim_and_Grewal)/zz%3A_Back_Matter/20%3A_Glossary Thank you, Mandeep.

Hello Michelle,
Yes, an image of the graph should be find if there is alt text.
Alternatively, if you describe the graph in the main text, there is no alt text needed. The image can be marked as decorative.

I *think* that graphs should be presented is as an image file, but I'm checking the hive mind to see if there is a "best practices" for posting graphs, especially for accessibility. I see that there is the option for interactive graphs,
but I'm just posting static graphs at this point. So, is the best option an image file, with a descriptive caption?

Just add a comma between them on the first column. You can also add abbreviations in this way too.

I remember in an Office Hour that you could add different variations of words in the Glossary so that, say "variable" and "variables", would link to the same glossary definition. But I don't remember how to format that in the glossary.

Indentation

Tianxin (Viatrix) Zhang
Hi, all.
In my current project, indentations were used in the source text to present a hierarchy of phyla and classes. I wonder if these indentations should be erased still, as the construction guide indicates that indentations should be avoided? If so, what would be appropriate to present the hierarchy instead?

Hi, all.
I am wondering whether we should keep the three number titles if they appeared in the source text?

Units?

I remember seeing in an Office Hour that there is a way to create Units (chapters bunched together), but I don't remember how to do it. I've tried in the Remixer and the Re-Remixer, but haven't figured it out. I'm still in a Sandbox, so maybe that's why I can't seem to do it?

Too daunting. The new Permissions Modulated Editing just does it
automatically (one fully operational). On 2/24/2021 5:55 PM, Josh Halpern via

Traditionally yes. However, our new LibreLens automatic attribution tracker is designed to handle the mixing licenses on the same page that don't play well. There won't be a single license for the page though. We will showcase this next week at OEWeek.
