Process to be able to compile new doc...

pbmac

I just did a remix of a book to reorder and add some pages, remove stuff etc.

Now that I have it back in my courses, what is the process to get it to a place to be able to compile it? I know that a Front/Back Matter pages needs to be added - not sure what the "magic" is...

Thanks.

Pat

Re: Hypothes.is annotations not visible even though public

I heard back from Hypothes.is support. The issue was with changed URLs. When I checked at the time of my last post, I had not actually changed the URL completely back to what it was originally. However, I made all the changes and restored the original URL, which did indeed bring back the annotations.

The Hypothes.is support team referenced the following help page about document equivalence, which you may already know about:

New Sidebar active on chemistry library

Delmar Larsen <dlarsen@...>

As part of our effort to update the user experience on the LibreTexts platform, we have implemented two new features:

On the section pages of all libraries, you will notice light blue arrows on each side that stick as you scroll down. These let you move forward and back in a text's hierarchy. This is live on all libraries.

We are doing a slow roll out of a side bar that integrates a lot of the features we had in horizontal side bars and a few additional features. This is active only on the Chemistry library since it has to be customized for each library (e.g., a dynamic Periodic Table of the Elements for chemistry) and even for each book (e.g., easy access appendices). You can access this sidebar via the upper left hand blue button.

Check it out and please share your opinion and feedback.

That one looks like it was not properly harvested. I moved it to the under construction area for further construction. We need to push hard in bringing in CS text.

I  noticed the very same behavior with another book in Coputer Science - the Open Structures by Porin

This is a book Delmar imported for me last December - it appears that there is no content, although the TOC shows its all there.

URL?

It is always a good idea to include a URL in the message.

It's very weird, I think Delmar rebuilt

But both look usable now. If you want they can be remixed together:)

There were issues with the structure. I rebuilt the book and renamed it just to be safe so (I hope) what you handed off has not been changed.

You can find a print copy in the download center.

Looks like a tremendous book. I'll take a look in depth later.  FWIW it looks like 4.1.1 has some extra stuff at the bottom of the page.

I can run a bot that will convert all img into <figure> blocks with captions that you can edit. I need to see if you use images in tables and other ways that captions are no needed.

Attribution on images

pbmac

I am needing to attribute all of my images...is there a simple method in LibreTexts to add a caption to an image (am not finding one - which is why I am asking)...cause its gonna be a pain to go through all my pages and add the html for captions
