We will define the \oiiint code. So just use that for now and we can handle the specific code behind the scenes.

Re: Forcing equations to number

Delmar Larsen <dlarsen@...>

To use mathjax, you need to put the entire sentence into mathjax to get an automatic equation number.

Re: Forcing equations to number

I want to go the otherway, adding numbers to some lines with text.

Forcing equations to number

Hi,

I have a text with a number of lines that contain formulas at the end and I want them to number
For example

This is a line with some mathjax $$X$$

and I want this equation at the end to autonumber

\int\hspace{-2ex}\int\hspace{-3ex}\bigcirc~  works. You have to back space to maintain distances

Ah ok, thank you so much! I'll give that a go

smmuller@...

Hi Jasmine,
In Google Maps, after you find your location, click Share, then the Embed a Map tab, and copy the HTML.
Once you're in Libretexts and editing your page, in the top menu click View, and then Source, and paste the map's HTML where you want it.
Click View and Source again, and your map should be there on the page.
(If you really don't want to work with the page source, you can cheat instead - in the top menu click Elements, then Video. Click the Embed tab, paste in the HTML you copied from Google Maps, and click Insert Video. It will insert your map there.)

Jasmine Keane

Hi everyone,
i am trying to add a google maps feature to a project I am working on. Its a specific location but I cant figure out how to add it currently.

Thanks,
Jasmine Keane

Contour integral symbol not displaying in equations

The contour integral symbol does not display when used in equations. The Latex code shows correct when using Mathpix, but on the Libretext page, double and triple contour integrals do not display the symbols. The code and page pics are attached.

0.5 \oiint_{\mathrm{A}} \overline{\mathrm{\underline S}} \bullet \hat{n} \mathrm{da}+\oiiint_{\mathrm{V}}\left[\left\langle\mathrm{P}_{\mathrm{d}}(\mathrm{t})\right\rangle+2 \mathrm{j} \omega\left(\mathrm{W}_{\mathrm{m}}-\mathrm{W}_{\mathrm{e}}\right)\right] \mathrm{d} \mathrm{v}=0

For the first page, it looks like the pathways are formatted as a definition list. The easiest way to fix it would be to just get rid of that - highlight the list, go to Elements, and click Definition List, and it should remove that formatting. (Unless you're asking how to edit the HTML/CSS/whatever controls that behavior?)

For the second page, you could try removing the http:// part of the link so you just have something like this:

For the third page, it looks like those words are formatted as headings. There's a heading section in the toolbar you can use to change them back to normal text, if you don't mind doing that manually for each word. (Unless you're asking how to change the heading formatting so it looks different?)

For the last question, do you have a page with an example?

Re: #remix Images missing from remix across libraries

So I copied the book into my sandbox and modified it there

You should be able to see and modify it here. I can either change your text or simply move what is in my sandbox to the shell

#Formatting #referencing

blindsh@...

After working on my resource the past couple of days I have some small formatting questions.

I want to make the carbohydrate pathways at the top of this page not appear when clicked like they are now, but don't know/understand how these are formatted correctly.

https://med.libretexts.org/Courses/Kansas_State_University/Book%3A_Human_Nutrition_(Lindshield)/06%3A_Macronutrient_and_Alcohol_Metabolism/6.02%3A_Carbohydrate_Metabolism

I have a number of references where the hyperlinks can't be unlinked for some reasons. Here is an example.

https://med.libretexts.org/Courses/Kansas_State_University/Book%3A_Human_Nutrition_(Lindshield)/06%3A_Macronutrient_and_Alcohol_Metabolism/6.04%3A_Protein_Metabolism

Why are phytate, polyphenols and oxalate blue on this page? How to I normalize this to be consistent with formatting found throughout the resource.

https://med.libretexts.org/Courses/Kansas_State_University/Book%3A_Human_Nutrition_(Lindshield)/12%3A_Blood%2C_Bones_and_Teeth_Micronutrients/12.08%3A_Zinc

I noticed while cleaning up some references, that the number reference hyperlinks on some pages were to anchored references on some pages and just to the reference section on others. What is the difference between these options? Does the fact that this formatting is different on pages matter?

Thanks for the assistance.

The problem is that the figures were hotlinks to a wikibooks page that has disappeared. I found one of the two figures and will get the second as well as prettify, but I am in the workshop meetings so it will take a couple of hours (should be done today). The one that I fixed is now an image file in the Mindtouch system and I will take care of the second one on that page later and work my way through. You took the pages from a relatively old LibreTexts, which we had not gone back to and eliminated this issue.
