The Remix is stored in your cookies, it is not associated with your account. The new version of the remixer that will be released very soon (it is in beta right now) allows you to save your remix and a file so you can share it between computers and with other people.

I have a Remix in progress that I started on Tuesday, which saves on my office computer. But if I log in to LibreTexts on another computer (my laptop), the Remix does not appear (just shows as a default Remixer with Chapters 1-5). I have tried repeatedly logging in/out of both computers. I am guessing there is a setting somewhere that I need to adjust, but I'm at a loss for what that could be!

The remixing maps are stored in the computer's cookies and do not transfer if one jumps to a different computer. They are not lost. Now, we will release a demo version of v2.0 today or tomorrow that you can use to save remixing maps (and distribute as you see fit). There are more powers to this new remixer.

I have been asked to explain the significance (impact) of the "new <figure> system" that some of you have noticed on the platform recently.

The <figure> system is the HTML5 code (read that as new/future standard) for semantic representation of images. This allows us to tie in the figure caption to the figure so that they cannot be broken (e.g., by a page break in printing PDFs), which is the primary reason we adopted it. It has several pluses too. It acts as a <div> that we can control over the entire site via CSS which allows for a standardization - this applies to the <figcaption> text that is tied to the <figure> code. It also provides a semantic background for the image so that google and others can tie the figcaption to the figure. We have something similar for each attachment, but this is in the html code directly. That means it is good for SEO and it is where the future lies with online publishing (i.e., most of the web).

I have many of the same issues with various tables.  Among other things being able to control the vertical height, separately being able to set all borders on a table cell (top, bottom, right left) would all be handy.

Thanks for pointing this out. When students transfer material numbering of references, figure numbers, and similar often end up being hard coded in as in this text. In your edited page you can simply change "28" to "1" so it doesn't look so strange.

I remixed a text using books from OpenStax and a couple of other books. I forked it for editing. I have superscripts that refer to references, and those reference links were retained but with the old numbering system. It's not a problem for now, but is something that eventually needs attention.

ok. We need to solidify our internal referencing system, especially when coupled with the Remixer. We have played with different approaches. I won't have a quick answer for you, but we will get it completed soon.
